Support Group Descriptions

Cancer Care is a CRB support group for connecting, supporting and empowering patients and their families on their journey through the cancer continuum with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. This group will also make connections to resources available in San Diego County. Open to anyone.

Led by Mike West and Demy West

"We both have experience with cancer - me (Mike), I've been through it. Demy - she works with the American Cancer Society. Together, with our experiences and resources, we would like to be of encouragement to others facing their own diagnosis."

This group meets on an AS NEEDED basis.

There will be moments when family caregivers of aging relatives feel overwhelmed and alone. Jesus wishes for us to support each other and not walk this path in solitude. Join others in the CRB family for emotional support, as well as helpful information, in a Christ-centered setting. New members welcome to join anytime.

Led by Sherrie Garceau:

"I experienced the responsibility of having been my elderly parents’ caregiver as they went through physical and cognitive struggles during the late part of their lives. It was not an easy process but one in which I learned a great deal. I am thankful I had the experience of having been a professional school psychologist which brought some added insight into my responsibilities as a caregiver. With emotional support provided by family, dear friends, and my incredible small group of church friends, I was able to better navigate the ups and downs of caregiving."

Meets the 1st Monday of each month beginning Oct 7, 2019, 6:30-8pm at The Church at RB.
