4 Ways to Build Strong Relationships

Consider this:

What makes a relationship strong?

Strong relationships start with vulnerability. In order to create community, people must feel safe enough to open up. But our brains are often like "over-caffeinated conspiracy theorists," prone to fear and looking for potential threats.

To make space for vulnerability,
we must combat those fears with stability and security.

So how do create an atmosphere of safety?

4 Ways to Make People Feel Safe:

  1. Tribe: Be on their side.

2. Expectation: Show them the future.

3. Rank: Treat them like an equal.

4. Autonomy: Give them the freedom to choose.

With these four steps in mind we can create safe spaces to open up and deepen our relationships.

By supporting others, setting expectations, seeking equality and prioritizing autonomy, we can create strong relationships, and, ultimately, the Strongest You.
