Jesus Is Lord

I am in awe of God. Of His presence, His amazing ways, and His unfailing love for you and me.

We truly serve a God unlike any other. Jeremiah 10:6 says,

“LORD, there is no one like you! For you are great, and your name is full of power.”

- Jeremiah 10:6 (NLT)

Really take that in. We serve a great God who is full of power. That means we can approach our circumstance trusting that no weapon against us will prosper. And His greatness gives us the assurance that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives in you and me.  

“There’s no one quite like you among the gods, O Lord,

   and nothing to compare with your works.

All the nations you made are on their way,

   ready to give honor to you, O Lord,

Ready to put your beauty on display,

   parading your greatness,

And the great things you do—

   God, you’re the one, there’s no one but you!”

- Psalm 86:8-10 (MSG)

What beautiful poetry to describe the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We sang a song this past Sunday called No Other. And the lyrics say this:

No other name carries the power to save

Crushes the power of the grave but Jesus

That means that there is nothing too big for our God.

Nothing in your life that God cannot handle! He is King. Philippians 2:9-11 says:

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

   and gave him the name that is above every name,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

   in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

   to the glory of God the Father.”

- Philippians 2:9-11

So today, may you know that He is not just Lord over all, but Lord over your life.

May you walk in the confidence that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of you.
