How Strong People
Deal with Failure
Failure is an event, not an identity
Have you failed before? Failure can leave us feeling broken and ashamed. But we often give failure too much weight. We see it as an indication of our worth, rather than information about what not to do again.
Failure is simply data about life. We can use it to create something new or approach a challenge in a different way. Like the great Thomas Edison once realized, after 10,000 attempts you could produce something that lights up the world. Strong people don’t let failure define them. They respond to the fall by launching something new.
When you fail, how will you fall?
On concrete?
You will shatter.
In quicksand?
You will get stuck.
Or on a trampoline?
You will bounce back and launch your fall into something new.
Embrace your strongest you and use your momentum to launch something new.
