He Is King

Jun 22, 2022

It is possible to be both heartbroken and hopeful.

Heartbroken for the state of the world, yet hopeful for the restoration that Jesus promises to bring. Heartbroken for mistakes made yet hopeful for the promise of Him turning ALL things for good. Heartbroken that we can’t relive the “good ol’ days,” yet hopeful that the days to come will be the best yet. God is near to the broken-hearted, He doesn’t neglect the pain or the realness of it.

He is near, He sees sadness, but He also sees the future of hope He has for you. His nearness reminds us that the pain is temporary, but His love is everlasting.

Psalm 45:6-7 says,

Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;

   a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

You love righteousness and hate wickedness;

   therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions

   by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Let the joy of the Lord come over you today. Let His peace steady your mind. We serve a God who is Sovereign and in control of all things. He is King overall.

So, let’s make Him King over our circumstances.
