No Longer A Slave To Fear
Waiting time is never wasted time when God is involved. When your breakthrough does not come immediately, it is not because God has forgotten you or left you on the shelf. He is developing and building you, polishing you so that when the time is right, as with an arrow, He’ll unleash you. And like a skillfully crafted and honed arrow, you will hit the mark.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- God, Isaiah 41:10
Too often we are paralyzed by our own fear and come to believe that God has somehow abandoned us. But, as the writer of Hebrews (13:5) tells us, “God will never leave us; never will He forsake us.”
God has promised us the same power as that which raised Jesus from the grave. Can you even fathom what that is like? A paraphrase of John 14:16 might read, “God said, ‘I am about to send My Holy Spirit; when it hits your life, expect sudden CHANGE! You will see depression lift, illnesses heal, demons will flee. Strongholds and curses will be broken. The Holy Spirit will bring you peace, joy, clarity, understanding and direction. All confusion will dissipate. In your newly healed, revived and utterly strengthened state, you will LEAP into a new season of joy and victory!’”
We, as followers of Jesus, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit and have unlimited power and potential. In Him, we can accomplish more than we could ever ask or imagine.
As the praise song says, “I am no longer a slave to fear. I am a child of God. I am surrounded by songs of deliverance. We’ve been liberated from our bondage. We’re the sons and the daughters. Let us sing our freedom.”
Morgan Harper Nichols writes, “You may not be able to see where you are headed, but I assure you, The Lord can. And He’s holding your hand. He’s breathing life into every aspect of your present and future. He’s shining His light even in the darkest corners of your mind. So hold tight to Him. Hold tight to His love, knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you, and because of Jesus, you are in His grip forever. No uncertainty, no broken dreams, and no fear of the future can keep you from Him. He is with you always, in all of this. Trust Him. Believe. And let Him gracefully lead you where you need to be.”
Let our voices resound, “I am no longer a slave to fear, for I am a child of God.”
